Celebs React To Manhattan Tragedy

Celebrities are pouring out love and support to those affected by the pedestrian attack in NYC.

Including one celeb who was at the scene and narrowly dodged the horrific act.

Yesterday on Halloween a driver mowed down pedestrians on a New York City bike path, killing eight people and injuring at least nine more. Celebs have reacted to the tragic event on Twitter with thoughts and prayers for the victims. Sam Smith wrote, “New York. My heart is with you always and forever. Devastating news. My soul and heart is with the victims and there loved ones x horrific”. Barack Obama shared an uplifting message, “Michelle and I are thinking of the victims of today’s attack in NYC and everyone who keeps us safe. New Yorkers are as tough as they come.”

Many celebs were emotional including Hailey Baldwin who wrote, “Heartbroken for NYC today. Sending all my love back home, my mind and my heart is with you today.” Ashley Benson was shocked writing, “So scary that this happened so close to me in a city that I love.” Taylor Swift who famously wrote a song about the city called “Welcome to New York” shared a snapshot of the skyline from her apartment on her Instagram story and wrote, “I love you New York” with a broken heart emoji.

But perhaps the scariest reaction was from Josh Groban who narrowly escaped the incident. Josh tweeted immediately as the event was happening and revealed he was on a walk with his dog when he heard gunshots. Josh then retweeted a news report about the attack and admitted, “I’m shaking. That’s the corner I was supposed to have my coffee but my dog pulled me into the park half a block away 10 min before shooting.” Once Josh was a safe distance away he took a video to capture the quick response from the NYPD and NYFD.

Talk about a scary Halloween. We are sending our love and well wishes to all those affected by the senseless act of terror in NYC, and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. As always I’m your host Drew Dorsey here at Clevver, thank you for tuning in.

  1. Correct title should be: "Celebs react to Uzbekistani truck of peace in Manhattan."
Diversity and multikulti is so much fun 😀

  2. My love and prayers are out to the victims and all those effective by this horrible situation! Love you, New York!

  3. I was born muslim and tbh, fuck islam. I wish I could move out of my country and live somewhere where this fucking religion isn't allowed or something cuz i'm tired of seeing being hurt :'( my heart is broken :'(

  4. And this is why Trump won. Stop moaning about "the muslim ban" being racist and see that it is to keep terrorist out of the country. It's to keep US citizens safe. We don't want more terrorist attacks.

  5. 1. Celebrities are pouring out love and support, ooooh how sweat, still I bet known of them has the balls to say "you know what, this open borders shit is going to lead to wars for future generations". And 2. Are you like a white woman wearing too much fake tan because your face looks like a white woman's.

  6. Stop blaming muslims, what the heck, not all Muslim people are terrorists. Our society is so broken and sick, you guys are making the problem BIGGER by discriminating people, we have to find a way to solve this problem, something that doesn’t BAN OR DISCRIMINATE AGAINST RELIGIONS. because there will always be terrorist attacks, so we need to figure out how to stop all these attacks because even if we stop immigration there will never stop being terrorist attacks, so y’all should stop discriminating and be more open minded. I’m honestly so ashamed of humanity for blaming these attacks on A RELIGION WHO MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE A PART OF AND MOST ARE INNOCENT !!!!

  7. Sigh, it seems like as soon as we get over one tragedy we move straight on to the next. I pray for all the victims and their families and I hope we can help the world reach a peace one day.

  8. I love how the news reports "a driver" or a truck killed… about saying a Muslim whack job yelling Allahu Akbar killed….what a joke our media has become.

  9. I didn't hear about this!?
Prays go out to the world<3 we all need help right now.. Just tonight in London Coventry Garden the same thing happened….. What is going on??? I wish I could do something to help more!!

  10. I'm from Argentina. 5 of the dead were men that lived in Rosario (a city over here) who've travelled to NY to celebrate 30 years from their graduation. They were vacationing in the name of friendship. it just sucks

  11. Omg I hope everyone that was injured is ok and the people who got killed with always be in our thought and prayers
